Content Writer

Location: Springfield, OR

We are looking for a motivated Content Writer to join the team in this new position. The Content Writer will be responsible for researching and creating content for marketing initiatives and sales collateral such as emails, member brochures, proposals, sales programs, training materials, etc. Candidates should have superior yet creative writing skills and general marketing knowledge.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Creates, develops and manages content.
  • Updates content on external and internal website(s) to be used as a reliable communication resource and recommends actions to achieve organizational and future program objectives and improvements.
  • Works with team members to generate content for sales training materials such as PowerPoints, interactive training, webinars, and videos.
  • Helps develop content strategy according to marketing goals.
  • Assists in preparing marketing materials and mailings.
  • Adapts tone and style according to the market and overall brand voice.
  • Works with a cross-departmental team, maintains and develops the content for these teams.
  • Copies, edits and proofreads web content.
  • Ensures web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.
  • Works cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors.
  • Helps develop, maintains and engages communications with a variety of media outlets, industry associations, and other organizations.

Job Specifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred (English or Communication).
  • Three (3) years’ experience in content development/writing.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and meet given deadlines.
  • Marketing experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with solid documentation skills.
  • Write with concise detail, yet maintain brevity.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Experience managing blogs and social media channels, including Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

We offer a competitive base salary, plus commissions (depending on experience). Position may require 40+ hours per week and some travel required.

Lead Generation Specialist

Location: Vancouver, WA

The Lead Generation Specialist will work to qualify and present leads to the sales team. This position will actively generate leads via calls and emails into targeted accounts to identify and qualify as prospects. This position works closely with the Sales and Marketing team to provide feedback about qualification criteria and makes recommendations to improve qualification requirements and streamline the lead hand-off process.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates with sales team to pass on qualified leads.
  • Targets assigned market segments with phone calls and emails each day.
  • Generates opportunities each month.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with the prospective customers through constant follow up.
  • Cold calls to arrange meetings and product demonstrations with potential customers to prospect for new business opportunities.
  • Identifies customer needs and sends relevant written sales materials and resources to prospective customers.
  • Maintains accurate account and contact data in CRM.
  • Schedules meetings for prospects for the Sales Team.
  • Coordinates and organizes logistics trade shows.
  • Develops basic understanding of Hawes Technologies services and solutions.

Job Specifications:


  • Minimum of an AA degree in Business or a related field, preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and CRM, preferred.
  • Ability to identify and reach decision-makers through cold calls, research and networking.
  • Professional upbeat telephone voice with the ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers.
  • Ability to peak the interest of prospects and meets call volume metrics.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to be confident and quickly build rapport with prospects.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Performance-driven.
